I may have said it before, but it bares repeating, Australia is full of extremes.  Extreme heat, extreme drought, even extreme winds.

Within a half hour of our arrival at the campground in Hobart today a cold front moved in.  The temperature dropped from nearly 30C to 5 then the wind kicked up and literally blew the tea out of the tea cups.  The weather bureau said it was 48 knots with gusts to 68 knots.  It blew like that for over an hour.
Trees were blown down including one on the camper next to us, but far worse a huge caravan was rolled over and totally trashed.  I am so glad we were not on the Derwent in VillaG.
